We are currently in production on our Video Documentary about bipolar disorder designed for broadcast.

TITLE: Brainstorm (working title)

PURPOSE: Education/orientaion for the general public, mental health practioners, consumers and CEU/CME students.

STATUS: Production started in March, 2008. Project outline and storyline rundown boards are complete. We still have some pre-production details to clear up -mainly fund raising. Our first re-enactments andf shoots were filmed in April, 2008. We are ready for the next series of shoots pending the required funding.

SYNOPSIS (Overview):
A Look Inside is a dramatic narrative documentary film that takes an insiders look into the extreme and dangerous world of bipolar disorder. This program shows us the more extreme parts of this disease including suicide and mania.

Designed for both patients, caregivers and professionals, this program provides a window into a world people rarely see. It is a place where people live life at its most extreme, one-day riding at the top of their game, the next they may be plunged into the pits of suicidal despair. See what it is like to ride on a manic high, understand the torture of vicious mood swings. Learn what its like to live with what some call, the disease of greatness.

Bipolar Disorder can be a severely disabling medical condition. In fact, it is the 6th cause of disability in the world, according to the World Health Organization. Bipolar disorder is also considered the most dangerous of all mental illnesses, mainly due to the fact that it has the highest suicide rate of all mental illnesses.
